Nutrisystem, Week 4 (202 lbs.)

Well, this week was better. The wife came home from her business trip, and we have gotten back on track. She lost 3 lbs and I lost 2.

Our boxes of food are dwindling. I find myself avoiding certain things that I just can't imagine eating again -- hot chocolate, brocolli and cheese pasta, and those damn scrambled eggs. We have skipped some meals here and there, though, so there is more than a week left of food. Looks like these four weeks will turn into five soon enough, which is fine with me.

S-Girl continues to be curious about "Mommy and Daddy's special food." The other day, I was eating a Nutrisystem snack when S-Girl asked what it was. I told her, then she said, "Does that food make you lose weight?" I said I hoped so. She asked if she needed to lose weight. I said no, she needed to gain weight. After tasting the snack, I think she was glad she didn't need to lose weight.

So, I am down to 202 lbs, a six pound total loss in three weeks. I was told to expect losing 2-3 lbs. per week, and it's looking like we're right on target. By the time all is said and done, I'll be at 200 or below -- a weight I haven't been at since my freshman year of college, a long, long time ago.

That sprained ankle I suffered playing basketball a few weeks ago is still very painful. I actually went to the doctor's to make sure it wasn't broken. It's not. It's a severe high ankle sprain, which can hurt more than a break, he said. He told me to stay off it as much as possible for a few weeks and that it will bother me for a few months all together. Great. So I haven't been exercising lately. What really sucks is that the snow is gone and the roads are clear, and all I want to do is go running. Oh, well -- I'll get to it eventually. Time to heal...
